During the last few days Margarita & Elsa collected donated shoes & clothes, and purchased several articles of personal higiene and food items for the girls at the Bani Orphanage “Hogar de Ninas Hijas de la Altagracia”. Yesterday, March 28, Elsa finished packing two boxes (18″x18″x28″ each), with a total weight of over 175 pounds, and took them to a shipping company in Orlando, to be delivered to the orphanage in Bani. Hopefully, they will get them within 2 or 3 weeks.
Elsa talked on the phone to Sister Isaskia Saturday evening, to make her aware of the shipment, and obtain suggestions for future shipments, which we hope will take place periodically. Sister Isaskia will let us know via email when the boxes arrive at the orphanage in Bani.

Preliminary pictures of the visit to the Hogar de Ninas Hijas de la Altagracia in El Llano, Bani, Saturday 7th of March. Enrique and Mercedes travelled to the Dominican Republic to participate in this visit, along with Juanita & Joaquin, Dulcita, and Enriquez’s mother. They had a wonderful experience with the children and the religious sisters that manage the orphanage. The girls were very happy with the back-packs donated by Enrique and Mercedes. Other pictures will be published at a later time.
