The “Hogar de Ninas Hijas de la Altagracia” will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary from the 2nd to the 8th of August. Please, take a look at their celebration program:
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL CURRENT AND PAST RESIDENTS OF THE HOGAR, THE RELIGIOUS SISTERS WHO FOR ALL THESE YEARS HAVE BEEN PROVIDING THE NECESSARY GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT TO THE CHILDREN, AND TO ALL THE DONORS WHO CONTRIBUTE TO MAKE ALL THIS POSSIBLE. GOD BLESS THEM ALL!
The Board of Directors had a full day of Centering Prayer and Meetings on July 18, 2009, in a spirit of friendly fellowship and good food, at the Valdez’s home in Merritt Island. The meetings focused on the re-structuring of the board of directors into the concept of an “administrative circle”, which gives away with individual hierarchical positions and titles, except for legal purposes. Elsa packed and shipped 3 more boxes for the children at the Hogar de Ninas Hijas de la Altagracia, a total of 336.8 pounds of food and clothes! Thank you to all who contributed to this shipment, which will be very welcome by the children and staff.
Mercedes and Enrique opened their home to relatives and friends who celebrated the 4th of July in style, as you can see by these pictures provided by “El Popo” (http://www.elpopophoto.com ).
NOTE: This event also provided an opportunity for the Immaculate Conception Foundation to receive several generous donations, which will be used in support of the needy children in the Dominican Republic.
