6 Boxes Shipped on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010
Thanks to the generosity of our many donors, we were able to fill-up 6 boxes with donated clothing items, for distribution to needy people in the Dominican Republic. We are counting on our religious sisters at the Hogar de Ninas Hijas de la Altagracia to distribute these donations within the organizations they support, including needy Haitian families in the community.
Special thanks to Mercedes & Enrique for offering their garage as a “packing area”, complete with hot chocolate (it was 41 degrees when we started) and musical entertainment to make the job more enjoyable, for helping with the transportation of the boxes to Martinez Cargo Express (for final shipment to the Dominican Republic), and for financing all shipping charges.
